BISHOPSTOKE CARNIVAL 2014
Dear Graham,
On behalf of the Bishopstoke Parish Council Carnival Working Group I am emailing to thank you for the support that you have given us by providing transport for our Carnival Court in order that our community could enjoy another successful Carnival weekend, and on other occasions when our Carnival Court are visiting other carnivals.
We held a number of activities during the Carnival weekend which hundreds of people attended, including our traditional river float competition and duck racing. This year we had better weather for our parade and many of our community visited the wide variety of stalls at the Glebe Meadow fete and watched the arena activities. We raised over £540 from the street collection and this has been distributed equally to four local community organisations that assist people in Bishopstoke.
Without the support of our volunteers, sponsors and organisers, many of our Carnival activities would not be possible, and I would like to thank you for your contribution to our 2014 Carnival.
